May 2022 has become a perfect home for many key models in 200-500cc bike sales in the coming month. After a long period of low sales, Bajaj Pulsar NS and RS 200 are once again setting the sales chart ablaze.
As usual, Royal Enfield Classic 350 proved to be the best segment, selling just under 30k units. The Classic has also witnessed triple digit growth this time around. It was followed in the distance by the duo Bullet 350 and Bullet 350 ES, who recorded more than 10,000 sales.
After continued outgrowth since February, Meteor 350 is back to its best performance. It has a massive 8,209 units sold with a YoY growth of 143 percent. It has widened its gap with the Classic Legends’ offerings.
At number 4, the Bajaj Pulsar NS and RS 200 have registered phenomenal sales after a long hiatus. They are back to their selling heyday and what better homecoming they can get! The duo posted a staggering growth of 366 percent.
The Classic Legends’ Yezdi and Jawa series followed the Bajaj duo at number 5. Although they have slightly less MoM sales, they have almost held their place against the rivals.

Hero Xpulse 200 series, Honda H’ness CB350 and CB350RS duo, and Royal Enfield Himalayan and Scram 411 duo took the next 3 places. It was a fierce battle between the 3 and there is little to distinguish in their sales.
Suzuki’s newest kid, V-Strom SX, has found a place in this list. With sales of 1729 units in May, it got off to a healthy start. But Suzuki’s lack of range could put a big damper on the all-new yellow. Let’s see its performance in the coming months.
At number 10, KTM Duke and RC 200 duo are back to square one and recording their usual sales. Like their Bajaj 200 cousins, May has proven to be a perfect homecoming for the popular KTMs.
