2022 Hyundai Tucson will launch in India on this date

2022 Hyundai Tucson is one of the upcoming SUVs to be launched in India this year. After being officially teased by the company, the 2022 Hyundai Tucson has been listed on the official Hyundai website. However, the official booking of the car has yet to start in India. The launch is expected to take place on 13e July.

It is quite important to note that the new Hyundai Tucson debuted in the international market in 2020. However, the updated SUV is yet to be launched in India. The 2022 Hyundai Tucson was spotted in its camouflaged avatar during testing, and several spy footage has surfaced on the internet. We’re pretty sure the SUV will be equipped with ADAS safety features, including adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assistant, blind spot detection and lane departure warning.

The 2022 Hyundai Tucson is expected to get a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a digital driver display, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, etc. The safety features include multiple airbags, ADAS, 360-degree camera, descent control, etc. The wheels of the SUV should be 18 inch for better performance in Indian (both on and off road) conditions.

Worldwide, the Hyundai Tucson is offered in two variants: standard wheelbase and long wheelbase. While the standard wheelbase will have a wheelbase of 2680mm, the other variant will have a wheelbase of 2756mm. We are pretty sure India will have the longer wheelbase version of the SUV. However, the chance that the SUV will be offered as a 7-seater is quite small.

The 2022 Hyundai Tucson is expected to be offered in both gasoline and diesel engines. We expect an AWD variant (top variant) in the Hyundai Tucson lineup for 2022. The new generation of the Hyundai Tucson is expected with 2.0-litre petrol engines and 2.0-litre diesel engines. We are hopeful that the new Tucson to be launched in India will have both manual and automatic variants. The SUV will also get FWD and AWD options.

Currently, the Hyundai Tucson costs between Rs 22.69 lakh to Rs 27.47 lakh (ex showroom in New Delhi). The SUV is offered in 5 variants, including the petrol and diesel variant. The base model is offered for Rs 22.69 lakh while the 4WD Diesel AT variant is the top variant and costs Rs 27.47 lakh. We expect a change in the prices of the new Tucson when it launches in India. The ARAI mileage for the Diesel variant is 15.48 kmpl and the Petrol variant is 12.95 kmpl. Following its launch in India, the 2022 Hyundai Tucson will compete with the likes of Tata Harrier and Mahindra XUV700.
