Proteins play an important role in repairing and regenerating the cells in your body. According to Dr. Siddhant, protein is one of the most important macronutrients found in various foods. To further explain his point, he says, “If you don’t eat food for 12 hours, and then you start eating, what should be the only ingredient that needs to be in your food? The answer is ‘Protein’. I have been starting my meal with eggs for 15 years now, but if you belong to a vegetarian household which is a typical vegetarian household, what do they have?Say you had Poha, Upma, Dosa and Sandwiches, this constitutes your typical breakfast. the most you find in this breakfast are carbohydrates poha, upma are all energizing substances but they lack protein so what you can do to compensate for this is to start including nuts in your breakfast i know that nuts are a source of fat, but they are also a source of protein. Start incorporating curds into your breakfast. Dahi is also a very underrated protein source in my opinion.”
