Akshay Kumar addresses criticism against his movie-minting habit | Bollywood

Actor Akshay Kumar remains one of the busiest actors throughout the year with multiple projects in the pipeline. The actor refused to slow down, even since his debut in the industry. When asked about his commitment to movies, he claimed that he manages to make several movies in a year despite maximum vacations. (Read also: Akshay Kumar cries for sister’s message to him)

Akshay Kumar was last seen in Samrat Prithviraj, marking Manushi Chhillar’s entry into Bollywood. It became his second recent film to fail at the box office, following Bachchhan Paandey’s debacle. Akshay is currently waiting for his next release, Raksha Bandhan directed by Aanand L Rai.

Speaking of film responsibilities, Akshay told ETimes: “Throughout my career, especially during my early days, people have asked me why I work on four films in a year. People have always asked me to slow down. with the number of films I act or produce. Let me tell you that I take the maximum number of vacations for any individual in the film industry. I never work on Sundays. On Saturdays I always work half a day.”

Aanand L Rai also commented on this, telling me that my work culture has changed his perception of work. I only spend 8 hours on a movie set during the day, but I don’t spend a single minute of those 8 hours in a vanity van. I’m always on the floor of the movie set. My 8 hours is equivalent to another star’s 14-15 hours. That’s my dedication to the film,” he reasoned.

In addition to Raksha Bandhan, Akshay will also star in Ram Setu. He is also part of Selfiee alongside Emraan Hashmi, Diana Penty and Nushrratt Bharuccha. Touted as a comedy-drama, it will be released on February 24, 2023. He also has the Hindi remake of Suriya’s Tamil film Soorarai Pottru, where he will star opposite Radhika Madan.
