Actor Akshay Kumar, one of the highest-paid stars in Bollywood, has reportedly been honored once again by the Income Tax Department as the country’s ‘highest taxpayer’.
A certificate of honor for Akshay Kumar from the Tax Authorities is doing the rounds on the internet.
One social media user tweeted: “Haters say he’s not a global superstar, he ain’t got no HGOTY, not a lot of BB, he’s Canadian and a lot more, but he still pays the highest income tax than the rest of the industry out of last 5 years. My superstar.”
Another wrote: “The IRS congratulated Superstar @akshaykumar on a Samman Patra and named him the Hindi film industry’s top taxpayer. Haters need to see this before calling him Canadian.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay will be sharing screen space with Bhumi Pednekar in ‘Raksha Bandhan’, which is slated to release on August 11. Directed by Aanand L Rai and written by Himanshu Sharma and Kanika Dhillon, the film is produced by Color Yellow Productions, Zee Studios, Alka Hiranandani in association with Cape Of Good Films.
