The creme de la creme of Bollywood put their most fashionable foot forward for the start of the IIFA Awards. A green carpet was held in Abu Dhabi (where the awards take place) prior to the ceremony. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan led the celebrity roll call. Ananya Panday was one of the first guests on the green carpet. She appeared in a white outfit. The Student of the year 2 star wore a shiny white saree, designed by Manish Malhotra. Like Ananya, Sara Ali Khan also opted for a white outfit, a short anarkali and palazzos by Faraz Manan. Kriti Sanon was a ray of sunshine in a yellow and gold number. Lara Dutta was a vision in purple and Nargis Fakhri matched the green carpet (well, almost).

Actor-filmmaker Divya Khosla Kumar chose a white dress with a long train from Michael Cinco’s shelves. Bunty Aur Babli 2 star Sharvari opted for a two-tone outfit. Amruta Khanvilkar’s choice for the night was a black dress with a giant white bow on it, designed by Alpana and Neeraj. Actor Fardeen Khan was also seen on the green carpet both days.

IIFA Rocks was presented on Friday by filmmaker Farah Khan Kunder and actor Aparshakti Khurana, while Salman Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Maniesh Paul will host the main night today.
Meanwhile, actor Kartik Aaryan was also on the list of participants this year. However, he did not travel to Abu Dhabi for the awards after testing positive for Covid-19 on Saturday. †Sab kuch itna positive chal rha tha, Covid se raha nahi gaya“(everything went well so covid couldn’t stop itself),” wrote Kartik Aaryan in an Instagram post.
