Television actor Deepesh Bhan, best known for playing Malkhan in the hit series Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, passed away on Saturday morning. He was 41. The actor played several comedic roles on the small screen throughout his career. His fans and celebrities took to social media to express their condolences to the late actor’s family. TV star Kavita Kaushik remembered her FIR co-star in a tweet that read: “In shock, pained by the news that Deepesh Bhan passed away yesterday at the age of 41, a very important cast member in Pines, was a fit man who never drank/smoked or did anything to his health harming a woman and a one-year-old child and parents and leaving us all behind.”

According to the Times Of India report, Deepesh was playing cricket today when he collapsed and was taken to the doctor. His co-actor Charrul Malik paid tribute to the late actor. She told TOI: “I still can’t believe it. I heard it in the morning. I met him yesterday and he was totally fine. We did a few reel videos together. I’ve known him for eight years and it was him closest to me on the sets. We ate our food together. Besides being a talented actor, he was also a wonderful human being. He always guided me through my scenes. We have lost a wonderful human being and an actor.”

Last year, Deepesh lost his mother. In an emotional note he wrote: “Maa tum kyu chali gai. Love you maa tum bhaut yaad aaogi.I will miss you maa.aakhiri samay mai pitaji leney aaye hongey tumhe (Mom, why did you leave. I love you mommy. I’ll miss you. Dad must have taken you at the last minute).”

Deepesh had also worked in series as Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and May I come in ma’am? He is survived by his wife and child.
