BYD’s achievement as the world’s leading manufacturer of NEVs is the result of 27 years of experience in battery research and development. At the heart of every new BYD energy car is groundbreaking core technology, featuring the ultra-secure Blade Battery. Further innovation is showcased in BYD’s industry-leading e-Platform 3.0, the world’s first 8-in-1 electric powertrain, offering exceptional thermal efficiency and a rich ecosystem of cloud-based apps. BYD is the only NEV manufacturer to have developed its own powertrain systems, power batteries, automotive semiconductors, drive motors and motor controller systems – a key differentiator that sets BYD apart from its competitors.
Technology·Green·Future supports BYD’s brand proposition and reinforces an unwavering commitment to a sustainable future through technological innovation. BYD was also the first NEV manufacturer in the world to stop manufacturing full combustion engine vehicles to focus solely on more environmentally friendly BEVs (battery-powered electric vehicles) and PHEVs (plug-in hybrid electric vehicles).
