Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 Reloaded

The Season 4 Reloaded update for Call of Duty Warzone and Vanguard went live on July 27, 2022 and is already proving to be a mid-season meta-changing update. While shotguns are not primarily a player favorite when it comes to custom loadout, Raven Software has made improvements to several weapons of this type, along with balance changes for other classes of weapons.

With Max Pellet Damage increased by 26 percent on select shotguns, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019’s VLK Rogue is now a force to be reckoned with.

Raven Software stated that the intention was to change the shotgun meta and increase the bullet damage of these weapons in Modern Warfare 2019, Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard. Notorious for firing incendiary rounds, the VLK Rogue was on the receiving end of the biggest buff, .

While visually different from most other shotguns, the VLK Rogue is a unique 12-gauge mag shotgun that offers great mobility and maneuverability in close range firefights. The following is the recommended equipment for the VLK Rogue:

End of a loop: FORGE TAC Marauder

Walk: 16″ Warlord

Laser: 5mW laser

Stock: No stock

Magazine: 8-R Dragon’s Breath

The FORGE TAC Marauder muzzle works great on this Call of Duty: Modern Warfare shotgun. This box-style suppressor trades ADS (point down) and ADS walking speed for tighter pellet dispersion, noise suppression, and increased damage range. In this way, it facilitates long-range precision with reduced recoil.

The 16-inch Warlord attachment is an extended barrel that works similarly to the muzzle discussed earlier, increasing damage range and sharpening the dispersion of the pellets, but lowering the ADS rate.

The reduction in the weapon’s ADS rate isn’t a big factor as the VLK Rogue is preferred for hip fire at extremely close ranges. To improve the accuracy of the weapon’s hip fire, the laser mount is used instead of an optic. Oddly enough, the accuracy of the hip fire also affects the dispersion of shotgun bullets.

The 5mW laser attachment improves the hip-fire precision and sprint-to-fire rate of the VLK Rogue and adds a green laser that is visible to enemies. While the player’s position will likely be visible, this attachment is suitable for the aggressive close quarters combat that this shotgun excels at.

For the stock, the No Stock attachment is a must-have, taking care of any mobility build-up. The stock removed allows for maximum maneuverability while recoil control and aiming stability take a hit, making this weapon suitable for steady hands and trigger discipline.

And last but not least, magazine choice is the main factor behind getting more kills with this weapon. The 8-R Dragon’s Breath is, as the name suggests, an eight-shot magazine that fires incendiary shots. Not only will they inflict fire damage on enemies, but they will also trigger a fire animation for opponents, partially visualizing them.

Call of Duty players are more likely to have the upper hand during firefights, as this weapon is capable of taking out enemies with one to two shots, depending on the target’s armor. While more shots may be needed in some cases, the added visual limiting effect is a definite advantage over opponents.

Season 4 Reloaded is live on both Call of Duty Warzone and Vanguard. It is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
