Commonwealth Games 2022 Day 2 Live Updates: Sanket Sargar Lifts 111kg in Second Attempted Snatch

Commonwealth Games Day 2 Live Updates: Sanket Sargar has lifted 107 kg in his first attempt. Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy and Ashwini Ponappa made light work of the Sri Lankan challenge in the second game, finishing 21-9 to win the match easily. India leads 1-0. Meanwhile, Sanket Sargar will be in action in the 55kg men’s weightlifting. On the other hand, India leads 7-2 against Malta in the Lawn Bowls event in Birmingham. Day 2 of the Commonwealth Games promises plenty of excitement and entertaining action. On the second day, Mirabai Chanu springs into action and all eyes are on her whether she can return with a medal or not. The Indian women’s hockey team takes on Wales in Pool A, while Lovlina Borgohain also starts her campaign against Ariane Nicholson in the 66kg weight category. In mixed team badminton, the Indian contingent will compete against Australia. The opening day of the Games proved fruitful for swimmer Srihari Nataraj as he qualified for the final. The table tennis teams defeated South Africa and Barbados with identical 3-0 wins, but Australia defeated India in a women’s Group A cricket match.
