Commonwealth Games, Day 7, Live Updates: Hima Das has made it to the women’s 200m semi-final, while shuttle PV Sindhu is in action in a 32-game women’s singles. The Indian contingent has won 18 medals in the ongoing Commonwealth Games so far, including five golds. On the seventh day of the ongoing event, stars such as Dipika Pallikal (squash) and Amit Panghal (boxing) will be in action. Three other boxers will also be in action in the quarterfinals. They are all assured of medals if they advance to the semi-finals. Also, the men’s hockey team will face Wales, and it will be very crucial for their chances of progressing to the semi-finals. Later, Murali Sreeshankar will also compete in the men’s long jump final. He is an excellent contender for a medal as he qualified for the final with the best jump of all participants in the qualifying round. In other athletic activities, the hammer throw qualifier takes place where Manju Bala and Sarita Singh from India compete.
