After an action-packed seventh day of the Indian Commonwealth Games 2022 campaign in which Sudhir won gold in the men’s heavyweight para-powerlifting and Murali Sreeshankar won silver in the men’s long jump, all eyes will be on the Indian women’s hockey team on Day 8 that will compete against Australia in the semifinals. India’s wrestling contingent is also starting their campaign from today, featuring stars like Bajrang Punia, Deepak Punia, Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat etc.
Sprintster Hima Das will be featured in the women’s 200m semifinal. Badminton stars Kidambi Srikanth, PV Sindhu and Aakarshi Kashyap opened their solo Badminton campaign with a bang, competing in round of 16.

Boxers Amit Panghal, Sagar Ahlawat, Rohit Tokas and Jaismine Lamboria secured medals for the country by making their way to the semi-finals. Squash stars Joshna Chinappa and Saurav Ghosal competed in the quarterfinals of the mixed doubles categories, hoping to reach the semifinals.
