CWG 2022 India Women vs Barbados Women Highlights: India qualified for the Commonwealth Games cricket semi-finals after beating Barbados by 100 runs in a Group A match at Edgbaston in Birmingham. After a total of 163, Barbados was limited to 62 for eight in 20 overs. Previously, Jemimah Rodrigues hit an unbeaten 56 to help India score a total of 162 for four against Barbados in a Group A women’s cricket match during the ongoing Commonwealth Games at Edgbaston Cricket Ground. Shafali Verma also counterattacked 43 after Smriti Madhana was fired for cheap. Harmanpreet Kaur was fired on a golden duck when India was reduced to 92 for four. Jemimah and Deepti Sharma (34) added an unbeaten 70 runs for the fifth wicket to take India past the 160 run. Earlier, Barbados won the toss and chose to bowl against India. This is a do-or-die game for the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side as they will bow out of the event in the group stage if they lose. After narrowly losing to Australia, a match they had dominated for the majority, India then beat Pakistan to get their campaign back on track. Meanwhile, a win would take Barbados to the semi-finals alongside Group A champions Australia. Pakistan is out of the equation as they have ended their campaign with three defeats in as many matches.
