Diljit also shared a video of his tribute performance on his Twitter account, captioning it as “One Love”. In the background was a digital banner that read ‘this show is dedicated to our brothers’. In his performance, Diljit sang about how people who want attention try to bring down acquaintances.

He also delivered a speech asking for unity in the Punjabi community. Speaking about the moment when Sidhu’s father took off his turban during his son’s funeral, Diljit said, “Bapu, don’t take off your turban, we have great respect for it.” The singer added: “The whole Punjabi community must come together and be one, we must not keep our fingers crossed. There are many who will try to divide us.” As soon as he mentioned Sidhu’s name, the crowd erupted in applause.

Diljit then said, “Moose Wala’s name is written in the heart. This is a message to those who try to divide us. It will take an impossible effort to erase this name from the heart.” At the end of the video he sang his song Born To Shine from his album GOAT.

Fans praised Diljit for showing his support for Sidhu Moose Wala on the platform. One wrote, “Huge respect for your younger brother for calling on Sidhu Moose Wala.” Another commented: “Very well, Sidhu bhai deserves this. He has done a lot for the Punjabi community. Now it is the turn of the Punjabi community to remember him as a legend. Legends never die.”

Sidhu Moose Wala was murdered last month in Mansa, Punjab. Delhi police have arrested three people in connection with the case, including two gunmen, who are allegedly members of Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang.
