After this near-negligible increase on Saturday, the film’s future at the box office depends largely on the film’s performance on the third day.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted Ek Villain Returns’ Day 2 box office collection figures on Sunday, writing: ”Ek Villain Returns collects in similar range on Day 2… Marginal rise at national chains, but in massive pockets… All eyes on day 3… friday 7.05 crore, Saturday 7.47 million. Unlike Ek Villain, the reviews of Ek Villain Returns were less than favorable, with many film critics noting that both the film’s performances and writing were disappointing. The Hindustan Times review of Ek Villain Returns called it a “confusing, painful action film.”
