Ek Villain returns Box Office day 5 (early trends): Mohit Suri’s psychological action thriller film is a sequel to its 2014 release starring Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Shraddha Kapoor. The first episode was a sleepy hit at the box office.
However, the second episode underperformed slightly. The film stars John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria in the lead role. It has received mixed to negative reviews from audiences and critics alike.
Ideally, Ek Villian Returns should remain around the 4 crores mark on Monday, which would also have set the stage for the 50 crore mark life. However, the film only managed to collect Rs 3.02 crores on Monday. Now it’s more than 50% drop compared to the opening day collection that was on Rs 7 crores.
Also on the weekend, Mohit Suri’s film did well at the box offices that came in Rs 7.47 cr on day 2. It also managed to grow a little more and earn around on Sunday € 9.02 cr making it a total of 23.54 crores on his first weekend. However, the latest trading reports suggest the film is likely to come in Rs 2-3 crore more on day 5.
The collection of Ek Villain Returns will be approximately Rs 28-29.56 crores. Ideally, the first week of 35 crores was needed to ensure a good final flight, but the film is likely to earn slightly above 32 crores marking.

For AK, his all-time high is Gunday, which opened at 15.86 croreshis 2nd highest opener is 2 States that collected 12.28 crores followed by Half Girlfriend and Ki & Ka who hit 10.27 crore and 7.30 croresrespectively.
