The youngster extended his Gunners deal and was given the iconic jersey number 14, previously worn by club top scorer Thierry Henry
Arsenal star Gabriel Magalhaes came in defense of Eddie Nketiah after the youngster was criticized for stealing Thierry Henry’s shirt at the Emirates Stadium.
Nketiah will wear No 14 next season after signing a new deal to stay with the Gunners.
The decision to give him one of the club’s most respected songs was not welcomed by some fans.

Nketiah joined Arsenal’s academy as a teenager in 2015 after being released from Chelsea. He went on to join the Gunners and bowed to his first team in 2017 at the age of 18.
The attacker has struggled to establish himself as a fixture at Arsenal, having made just eight Premier League starts last season.
Manager Mikel Arteta nevertheless believes there is much more to come from Nketiah now that his contract uncertainty is over.
“I am very happy that Eddie is staying with us. He represents what we all stand for and all the values of the club,” he explained on Arsenal’s official website.
“We are very happy that he has extended his contract and now we have to work to develop the great talent and person we have in him.”
