India dealt Rohit Sharma injury blow

Rohit Sharma retired injured in the second over of the third T20I between India and the West Indies in St Kitts.

Rohit Sharma walked away after a lengthy discussion with the team physio in the second over from the St Kitts chase in the third T20I. Rohit chased at 165 for a win, beating Alzarri Joseph for a six and a four in the second over before visibly struggling with his back.

The physio took care of the Indian skipper, but he eventually decided to run away retired.

BCCI confirmed that Rohit had suffered a back spasm.

Shreyas Iyer walked out to replace Rohit Sharma in the middle. Iyer and Suryakumar Yadav have set up an 86-run partnership in a short space of time to put India well on track to hit the target.

Shreyas Iyer, who starred, was sacked for 24 from 27 balls, while Suryakumar made a 44-ball 76 to ensure India was on track to take a lead in the series.
