When India plays in their Test whites, it is indeed an odd sight to see Rishabh Pant and Jasprit Bumrah celebrate captain Rohit Sharma’s wicket. But that was exactly what happened during the India-Leicestershire tour match that started on Thursday. India will face Leicestershire in a four-day exhibition game at Grace Road, and some Indian players such as Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, Cheteshwar Pujara and Prasidh Krishna are playing for the County side. So when Rohit Sharma made an attempt to snatch Leicestershire pacer Roman Walker and the ball was eventually caught, Pant was seen cheering the slipscordon, while Bumrah was the first to enthusiastically congratulate the bowler.

Rohit Sharma hit three boundaries and was fired for 25. He was the second batter to fall after fellow opener Shubman Gill was ejected by Will Davis for 21.
Hanuma Vihari quickly followed them to the hut and fell for 3 on Walker.
Prasidh Krishna then removed Shreyas Iyer for a duck, before Ravindra became Jadeja Walker’s third victim for a run-a-ball 13.
India will play the exhibition game against Leicestershire ahead of the rescheduled fifth Test against England in Birmingham, which starts on July 1.
India led the series 2-1 last year when the fifth game was postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak at the visitor camp.
