After Ek Came Villain Returns 9.02 crores on Sunday it was expected that it would be possible to 4 million euros marking. Anything more than that would of course have been even better as that would have guaranteed a good run. But even $4 million would have been good enough to 50 crores longevity at least. However, the collections were lower than those with 3.02 crores enter.
That’s a drop of more than 50% compared to Friday collections from 7.05 crores, meaning the film should remain ultra strong around these levels through Thursday. If it’s in the 2-2.25 crores reach by the end of the week, then there would be a battle to hit half a century.
So far Ek has collected Villain Returns 26.56 crores and ideally the first week of 35 crores was needed to ensure a good final flight. While that number will not be reached now, it remains to be seen how much more than the 32 crores mark where the Mohit Suri directed movie is before the second week starts.
Note: All collections according to production and distribution sources
