Bollywood is going through a rough face, many big budget and star-studded movies are struggling at the box office. In recent months we have witnessed the back-to-back flops of some major star-studded films such as Ranveer Singh’s ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bachchan Pandey’, Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Dhaakad’, and in the meantime, South -Indian movies hit them one after the other at the box office.
Be it ‘RRR’, KGF 2′ or Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vikram’, the films are making big money in the theaters. Speaking of the same thing, director and filmmaker Karan Johar has made a rather controversial comment about KGF 2 and the movie plot.
During his interview with the Film Campanian, Karan got into the Hindi versus Southern cinema debate and said that if they had made a ‘KGF’-esque film they would have been ‘lynched’.

“When I read the reviews of KGF, I think if we made this we would be lynched. But here everyone says: Oh it was a party, a party and it was. I loved it. I loved it with all my heart. But what if we had made this?” he said.
Furthermore, Johar added: “So I feel like it works both ways. I think we don’t get leeway either and we try to be someone else. It works both ways.”
Prashanth Neel’s action drama ‘KGF 2’ has broken all records. The film, which was released in theaters on April 14, still dominates the box office. After a smashing box office performance, the film continues to make headlines with its unstoppable global box office collections.

Twitterati was quick to respond to Karan’s comments, one Twitter user wrote: “First make a movie that is even 10% of KGF, then talk.” †

South makes better masala movies, it’s a fact. They don’t care about intellectual critics.
If bollywood wants to prove themselves they have to make original good and better action/masala movies than south for the audience.
