Karan and Poppy share exclusive photos from their wedding.

An excited Karan said: “The decision to get married was made just a few weeks earlier. Since we like to explore the mountains and do a lot of trekking, we found this beautiful place called Chail. It seemed like the perfect destination to get married. We didn’t have extensive features, it was a one day affair. Our families were overjoyed because they’ve wanted this for years.”

On life after marriage, Poppy said, “We wear rings with our wedding date on them and while nothing has changed, it feels good to be married to the man who has always given me and my family love and affection.”

For the past few years, Karan has maintained that he had no plans to get married and believed that once you are committed to someone, marriage doesn’t change that. But now he is finally a married man. When asked about this, he said: “In my mind I stick with that once you’re committed to someone it’s forever and since we were together for 10 years the thought of marriage never crossed our minds. But during the pandemic we were very concerned about our families second i was shooting in mohali for a few months for my tv show and later traveled to the uk so we were in a long distance relationship for a while this got us thinking whether We needed to give our relationship a permanent status, and we’ve been together for a long time, so getting married was the ideal next step.”

Poppy added: “A few months ago my dad was a little sick and Karan was my biggest support. Karan is extremely loving and caring and I like that quality about him. Most importantly, I’ve known him for ten years now, so the marriage seemed ideal.” Karan told how Poppy has been his backbone. He says: “Poppy is like my backbone, always ready to support and she is very efficient in everything she does. When I wear a white sherwani she will make it look beautiful with nice buttons on it.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Karan will star in Sandiip Sikcand’s upcoming TV show Bahot Pyaar Karte Hain. He said: “I will soon start shooting for the show on Madh Island. My job in Udaariyaan is over.”

So what about their honeymoon plans? “Our honeymoon will take place in Goregoan, my home in a high-rise building with a beautiful skyline and views of the buildings in Mumbai (laughs). Jokes apart, the work will keep us busy for a while. Poppy will be

traveling for her web show, but we are planning to hold a wedding reception for our friends soon,” Karan said.
