Kartik Aaryan on being called ‘king’ after Shah Rukh Khan: ‘I’ll take prince’

Actor Kartik Aaryan has commented on being referred to as “king,” a term largely used only for actor Shah Rukh Khan. In a recent interview, Kartik Aaryan was asked how much weight he attributes to the titles given to him. The actor said that several titles keep coming, but the love of the people must remain. The actor also added that he feels good when such titles come his way. Kartik also spoke about a recent incident when he went to the mall several hours late but was welcomed by a huge crowd.

In an interview with RJ Siddharth Kannan, Kartik said: “I don’t know how important it is, but when I get these titles, of course I feel good at the beginning. I don’t think I want to accept the term king. a long way to go so it’s early to say that I take prince I’m kidding I think I’m just happy with all the love that first started to come after the success of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety or after Pyaar Ka Punchnama and now after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.”

He shared an incident involving a huge crowd at a shopping center. “We were about six hours late because the interviews were long. But I don’t think I’ve seen a bigger crowd and they waited six hours. We were supposed to arrive at 4pm but we reached at 10pm. No one is allowed to mall inside after 9pm but it felt like the whole world was there to meet us… People sang, enjoyed, were happy and that feeling is above these titles I think titles will come and go but love must stay.”

Kartik was last seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Anees Bazmee also stars Kiara Advani and Tabu. The film so far has the 150 crore mark in India with 200 crore in collections worldwide. Released on May 20, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a remake of the 2007 film Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The first film starred Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan in the lead roles.
