The upcoming iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are tipped to get a faster and newer type of RAM. Know how it differs from the one on iPhone 13 Pro.
If all goes according to plan, we’ll be just two months away from the launch of Apple’s next flagship smartphone: the iPhone 14 series. Apart from that, rumors suggest that Apple will have a busy fall this year with other launches including Apple Watch series, Airpods and the rollout of iOS 16, iPadOS 16 and other hardware and software. However, as far as millions and millions of fans are concerned, the iPhone 14 series is in the spotlight. The exciting thing is that the new iPhone is expected to feature several changes from the current iPhone 13 series. Notably, iPhone 13 wasn’t too much of an upgrade from iPhone 12, but iPhone 14 could well be a game changer.
From design, camera improvements, new color variants to the A16 Bionic chipset, these are some of the exciting changes expected. Fans should note that most of these expected upgrades are expected to be for iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models, while the regular iPhone 14 will remain — vanilla.
Anyway, the latest news to get us excited has claimed that the high-end models of the upcoming iPhone 14 series will include 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM. A MacRumors report claims this will be a faster and more efficient type of memory compared to old standards. Currently, the iPhone 13 series starts at 4 GB LPDDR4X RAM.
iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro to get BIGGER upgrades
The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, which are basically the high-end versions of the upcoming iPhone series, are expected to include all the major upgrades. This report now claims that 6 GB of LPDDR5 RAM will deliver better and more power-efficient performance than the previous standards.
Apart from that, some previous reports, including from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, have indicated that the next flagship A16 Bionic chip will be in the Pro models. While the non-Pro will continue with the A15 Bionic chipset packed into the iPhone 13 Pro models, albeit with an upgrade.
Then there’s a report that says the iPhone 14’s screen will be completely redesigned – a pill-shaped and perforated selfie camera will be used on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. 48MP camera, better battery performance and new display technology are all coming to these high-end iPhone 14 smartphones.
