Macherla Niyojakavargam Director’s Controversy: Clean Your Mess First!

New Directors: Clean up your mess before you damage a movie!Social media is an unforgiving place. Nithiin’s Macherla Niyojakavargam director MS Rajasekhar Reddy learns it the hard way as internet users dig up his old tweets where he used abusive language on a political party and made some nasty trolls.

The director and Nithiin have claimed that a particular tweet is fake, but it has already sparked a major controversy. People are asking if the community that abused the director should now avoid the film.

But what should be noted here is that it is high time that Tollywood acted in this area. Any sense of negativity in a film as a result of the director’s or crew’s previous comments on social media causes irreparable damage to the film.

For example, the director’s hate tweets have now left a negative impression on Macherla Niyojakavargam. This is not what Nithiin would have wanted before the film’s release.

There is a general trend in the IT and software industry where the employer goes through their prospects’ social media before hiring them. This is to ensure they don’t have an antisocial track record that could later tarnish the company’s image.

These are unnecessary traumas and financial losses that production houses have to go through for reasons they did not expect.

Maybe it’s time for Tollywood producers and heroes to also check new directors’ social media handles to avoid mishaps later. In the event that there is problematic content, the social media handles should be cleaned up.
