Mahindra Scorpio N bookings will start from July 30, 2022 and test drives are underway across the country

Mahindra & Mahindra announced the prices of the AWD and automatic variants of the Scorpio N just a few days ago and bookings for the SUV will begin in India from July 30, 2022. Test drives of the Scorpio N are underway at authorized dealers present in the country and an add-to-car feature is also available on Mahindra’s official website.

The Mahindra Scorpio N is sold in six- and seven-seat configurations and costs between Rs. 11.99 lakh and Rs. 23.90 lakh (ex showroom). Mahindra has also confirmed that it will prioritize deliveries of the highest-spec Z8L variant depending on customer interest and aims for a total rollout of 20,000 units by December 2022.

Due to the health crisis, supply chain issues, logistics and chip shortages, Mahindra SUVs such as Thar and XUV700 have a long wait. The Scorpio N is expected to pass a good initial reception and it will be interesting to see how Mahindra manages production. It should be noted that the introductory prices of the Scorpio N are only valid for the first batch of 25,000 unit reservations.

Prices will be increased upon completion of the first batch bookings. The Add to Cart feature allows buyers to choose their preferred trim levels, engine and gearbox choices, and paint schemes, and gives them a two-week window to customize their options if they wish. The Mahindra Scorpio N is based on a new ladder frame chassis.

It gets its power from the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo mStallion petrol and 2.2-litre four-pot mHawk diesel as the XUV700 and Thar. The former produces a maximum power output of up to 203 horsepower, while the latter delivers up to 175 horsepower. Both powertrains are mated to a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed AT torque converter as standard.
