WhatsApp will be rolling out several updates to its users in the near future to provide a better interface. The Meta-ownership app is working on the ability to see a list of past participants in your groups for a future update, reported WABetaInfo, the website that keeps the latest updates from WhatsApp.

The new update has reportedly been submitted through the TestFlight beta program, bringing the version to 22.16.0.70. Earlier news emerged that the app was working on the ability to silently leave groups without notifying other group participants except group admins.

Now with the “old participants” feature, all group members can see who has left the group. The website also shared a screenshot of the feature. A new section called “Find Past Participants” will be added where group members can search the name of people who have left the group in the last 60 days.

“All group members can see who has left the group in the last 60 days by opening the new section that will be available directly in the group information. So previous participants will be removed from this list after 60 days,” WABetaInfo wrote. The feature is still in development and the release date has not yet been announced.

WhatsApp has rolled out the ability to filter unread chats to some beta testers. This feature allows users to filter their chats by showing only the chats that contain new messages. Notably, last month, the “unread chat filter” feature was also rolled out for some beta users. but it was disabled in the next update.
