Mumbai: Threat letter to actor Salman Khan, his father; FIR registered

Bollywood actor Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan received an anonymous letter on Sunday threatening to kill them, after which an FIR was registered by Mumbai police, an official said.

Early Sunday morning, Salim Khan was sitting on a bench at the Bandra Bandstand after a morning walk, which is his routine, when an unknown man handed him a letter threatening to kill Salim and Salman, the official said.

Later, with the help of his security personnel, Salim Khan contacted the police and an FIR was registered under Section 506-II (Criminal Harassment) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Bandra Police Station.

Further investigation is underway, the official added.
