Neetu Kapoor And Anil Kapoor On Their Children’s Marriages

Promote Neetu Kapoor and Anil Kapoor Jugjugg Jeeyo

It’s not about age and live and let live – these were the wise words of Neetu Kapoor and Anil Kapoor about modern parenting, especially the marriage of their children. The actors are in this week’s release Jugjugg Jeeyo, a light-hearted look at the serious issues of divorce and the complexities of married life. three of Jugjugg Jeeyo‘s stars – Neetu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Varun Dhawan – spoke to NDTV about their film and much more. We asked the two older actors for their thoughts as parents about children’s marriage expectations. Anil Kapoor, whose daughters Sonam and Rhea are married and whose son Harsh Varrdhan is not, said he has never pressured his children. “I’ve never been in a situation where ‘this is the way it should be’… what makes them happy makes me happy. I think that’s the way, live and let live,” said he.

Neetu Kapoor said there is no right age to get married, but it is important to find the right person. “I think parents are not like that these days. You have to let them be, when they are ready to get married they will. When the right time comes, the right person comes. You can’t be pushed. Age is not it problem, the problem is the right person. You need to feel comfortable, okay, this is it, I’m going to spend my life with this person,” she told NDTV. Ms Kapoor’s son, Ranbir, married Alia Bhatt earlier this year. Her daughter Riddhima has been married for many years.

Varun Dhawan was the proof Neetu Kapoor needed: “As if he knew to marry Natasha, he knew his mind,” she told NDTV. Varun and designer Natasha Dalal got married in January 2021. “Natasha and I were friends and she is such an independent person herself, she does her own work, she is not from this line and she does her own thing. She does not need me to Make her complete in that sense. We support each other, we are there for each other, but she didn’t have to get married,” Varun said.

As for his parents, filmmaker David Dhawan and Karuna, they just wanted a fat Bollywood wedding for their son – which COVID ruined. “My parents wanted me to do a big wedding, which I couldn’t,” Varun Dhawan told NDTV.

Jugjugg Jeeyo also plays Kiara Advani and comes out this Friday.
