Rhea Chakraborty and brother charged again in drug case connected to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death – Celebrity

It has been two years since the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, but the investigation into the events surrounding his death continues. According to The Hindustan TimesIndia’s Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) filed draft charges against the siblings before a special court in Mumbai on Wednesday.

News Agency PTIA reported that special prosecutor Atul Sarpande said the prosecutor charged all the accused, as stated in the indictment sheet. According to the report, the prosecution has proposed that the court indict Rhea and Showik for using narcotics and for obtaining and paying for such drugs for Rajput.

The special prosecutor said the court would draft charges against all suspects. However, this was not possible as a few of the accused had moved dismissal applications, causing the action to be suspended until a decision was made on the discharge procedures.

Chakraborty’s siblings, along with the other accused, appeared in court on June 22. Special Judge VG Raghuwanshi set the case for trial on July 12.

Rajput, thirty-four, was found dead in his apartment in Mumbai in June 2020. Although there was no note, the Mumbai police ruled it a suicide.

In September 2020, the NCB arrested the Bollywood actor and her brother for their alleged role in a drug case related to Raabta actor; an angle that emerged during the investigation into the late actor’s death.
