Since the storyline of the film is set in Punjab, Aamir showed the film to the members of the SGPC. Speaking of the same, he said: “I was very moved by the response of the members of the SGPC. I am so happy that our film touched their hearts so deeply.”
Before the shoot started, the makers showed the script of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ to the members of SGPC because they wanted to get everything perfect. Since the film is set in Punjab and Aamir plays the character of a Sardar, the makers wanted to get every detail right.
Meanwhile, Aamir recently made it clear that he is in no particular rush to stream his film on OTT. He shared: “I think the curiosity about going to the cinema has subsided because movies come out on OTT right after they come out, they come on OTT very quickly. So I’ve always tried to take a six-hour break. months for my movies. I don’t know what the industry is following, but I like to keep six months between the two. So I’ve tried that for all my movies and so far it’s worked.”
Mona Singh and Chaitanya Akkineni can also be seen in ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. It is an official remake of ‘Forrest Gump’. The film will be released on August 11, 2022.
