Milind Soman seems to have won the controversy over the upcoming movie Laal Singh Chaddha with a short tweet. On Tuesday, the model actor tweeted, “Trolls can’t stop a good movie,” signed with a smiley face. Seemingly nothing, his tweet promptly provoked said trolls. Milind didn’t name names in his post, but there was no need to – the only movie trolls currently chasing is Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, starring Kareena Kapoor and opening later this month. Calls to boycott the film have made it to the Twitter trend list almost every day for the past week.
The comment thread lit up as soon as Milind posted his tweet. “You just showed a lighter petrol,” reads the top comment. Many reactions evoked The Kashmir Files and missiles. “Don’t defend those hypocrites,” read a reply to Milind’s tweet.

Filmmaker Rahul Dholakia also shared a tweet urging restraint. “Trolling a movie because the ideology of a cast or crew member is different from yours is unfair to the other hundreds who worked hard to make the movie. They also pinned their hopes on the success of the movie to fulfill their dreams.” to help realize. Spare a thought .”

“Boycott Laal Singh Chaddha” has been trending on Twitter for days; the charges against the film are said to be Hindu-phobic, based on comments Aamir Khan made in 2015 about then-wife Kiran Rao suggesting they move from country to country.
Aamir recently spoke about the boycott calls at a pre-release event. “I also feel sad because many people who say this in their hearts believe that I am someone who does not love India… In their hearts they believe that… And that is not true at all,” he said, reported the news agency PTI: “I really like the country… That’s how I am. It’s kind of a shame if some people think that way.”
“I want to assure everyone that this is not the case, so please don’t boycott my films, please watch my films,” said Aamir Khan.
Laal Singh Chaddhadirected by Advait Chandan, is a remake of the hit by Tom Hanks Forrest Gump with Aamir in the title role. It comes out on August 11, after several delays.
