The rescheduled fifth Test of the 2021 England tour is scheduled to start on July 1 and the Indian team, in a bid to get ready for the final Test and adjust to the English conditions, have agreed to a Tour match of four games to be played against Leicestershire County Cricket Club at the Uptonsteel County Ground in Leicester. As India showed their XI before the match, four other players from the visiting squad were added to the Leicestershire XI squad. Prasidh Krishna was one of them and was the only Indian bowler to pick a wicket in the opening session when he turned down Shreyas Iyer for a duck, courtesy of some valuable tips from Virat Kohli. †India vs Leicestershire Live Score Day 1)

At the end of the 19th, Kohli saw a conversation with Krishna, who was one of four Indian players to make up the Leicestershire squad. Kohli was seen giving some bowling advice to Krishna.

The India pacer was held on offense when he came back an over later and got Iyer in the very first ball. It was good outside as Iyer tried to make it through the covers, but it cut back in, taking the thick outer rim before wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant completed the sacking.

Iyer was fired for an 11-ball duck as India’s fall continued in the opening session of the exhibition game. After winning the toss, openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill started promisingly with 35 points before

Will Davis got the first breakthrough. Roman Walker then ran through top order, picking three wickets for just 12 runs in six overs, while Krishna picked one when India had 90 for five at lunch.

The other two Indian players who play as part of the Leicestershire team are Cheteshwar Pujara and Jasprit Bumrah. The Indian pacer also rolled his arms in the first session, with the new ball, and gave up 20 runs in five overs while going wicketless.
