Yami Gautam says her performance in A Thursday left her house help ‘terrified’ | Bollywood

Yami Gautam’s performance in A Thursday impressed many. The thriller, directed by Behzad Khambata and starring Atul Kulkarni, Neha Dhupia, Dimple Kapadia and Karanvir Sharma. Yami’s role in the film earned her high praise from critics and audiences alike. In a recent interview, Yami revealed that her domestic helper was terrified after looking at it. In A Thursday, Yami plays a kindergarten teacher who takes sixteen children hostage in the school. In the process, her character also imprisoned her own home help and a driver. Yami said in a recent interview that this particular episode scared her domestic helper.

Yami said her director husband Aditya Dhar jokingly warned her that Yami could take her hostage in the same way as in the film. Out of fear, the woman walked up to Yami and told her she accidentally broke a glass in the house a few days ago and said she hoped Yami wouldn’t treat her the way she treated the domestic worker in the movie. She also added that she was terrified when she watched the film while she was traveling. Yami said she took it as a compliment and was happy that she was able to create such an impact with her performance.

Yami Gautam has recently spent 10 years in the film industry. In a journey that started with Vicky Donor, she was part of quite a few successful films. But lately, Yami has also experimented with different roles and characters in films like Dasvi, A Thursday and Bala. She will next be featured in OMG 2 – Oh My God! 2, starring Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Arun Govil. The film is the sequel to Akshay’s 2012 film OMG – Oh My God!
